I have just completed a double teaching (secondary)/ Arts degree at Deakin University and am now currently undertaking an honours year within the faculty of creative arts (drama) at the same university. My research is centered around creating relevant and educational theatre for young audiences. This will involve creating two separate pieces of theatre over the course of the year. The first is for Tertiary Information Services (TIS) and is developed under specific brief handed down by TIS. This being creating a short and humorous performance on the issues students may face transitioning from secondary to tertiary study. This TIS performance will be more like an exerpimental theatrical laboratory where I can test out certain practices. Using reflective practitioner design I will reflect on the successes, failures and what I’ve learnt through the process. This blog will be the reflective journal in which I detail those notes. The second project will be an attempt to develop awareness of the issue of cyber bullying and its consequences. I have chosen cyber bullying because it interests me and I also believe that it is a problem in contemporary society. This blog will also be the reflective journal for that project as well.
